Universal Pictures has just released the next trailer for
MICHAEL, a biographical film about the life of the
“King of Pop,” Michael Jackson.
The new trailer focuses on Michael’s childhood – a crucial period that contributed to the formation of a global music legend.

From the very first seconds, viewers follow young Michael back to his childhood home and reunite with his father,
Joe Jackson, and his four brothers in the Jackson 5:
Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon.
Joe Jackson discovered and nurtured Michael’s talent early on, but was also known for his
strict parenting methods, based on the fear of failure, pushing his children to practice music from a very young age.
Joe Jackson’s philosophy of “never lose” is clearly demonstrated through his fateful dialogue,
emphasizing that victory was the only way out of a harsh working life.
Beyond training, Joe Jackson harbored ambitions to use Michael’s success as a foundation to build a
family brand, beginning with lengthy tours.

When Michael expressed hesitation and a desire to carefully consider his future, his father immediately dispelled any doubts with
absolute decisiveness, showcasing the controlling family management style the artist faced in his early career.
Besides the image of the strict father, the film also reveals the presence of many
important figures in Michael Jackson’s life.
Audiences will meet legendary music producer Quincy Jones,
lawyer John Branca – who manages Michael’s estate and enforces his will,
singer Diana Ross – who recognized the potential of the Jackson 5 early on,
and Bill Bray, the group’s head of security, whom Michael considered his
“second father”.
Faced with immense pressure from his family, young Michael shared his
artistic dreams with Bill Bray and received sincere encouragement.
Simultaneously, the love and support of his mother, Katherine Jackson,
became a crucial source of emotional strength, as she believed that Michael always
shone in a very special way.

Thanks to the companionship of his family and close friends, Michael Jackson gradually overcame a childhood filled with pressure to become a
global music icon.
MICHAEL is not just a biographical film, but also an
emotional portrait of the “King of Pop’s” intense love for music and his journey to conquer the hearts of
millions worldwide over several decades.
The film features a strong cast including Jaafar Jackson,
Miles Teller, Colman Domingo,
Nia Long, Laura Harrier,
and Juliano Krue Valdi.
Antoine Fuqua directed, John Logan wrote the screenplay, and
Graham King alongside Michael Jackson’s estate managers served as producers.
